NJ Online Casino Players Won’t Have To Jump Through Hoops To Cash In At Borgata Casino

Expires in

March Madness takes center court this week, and to celebrate, Borgata Casino is sending one lucky sweepstakes winner and a guest to see the Big Dance in person. Forty-nine other players will win consolation prizes in the form of bonus cash.

It’s mayhem over at Borgata Casino, but not in a bad way.

All this week, the NJ online casino will be offering players the chance to gamble their way to the NCAA Championship game, with one grand prize winner pocketing courtside tickets and other gifts designed to make their stay in Phoenix, Arizona a memorable one.

Runners-up won’t be left off in the late winter cold, as the Borgata has an additional 49 prizes to give away to its loyal patrons.

Here’s a look at how you can get in on the madness.

Inside $5k March Mayhem Online Sweepstakes

$5k March Mayhem Online is a sweepstakes promotion that runs from March 12 – March 19. During this time frame, players that navigate to their Promotions tab and opt in with the promo code DAILY will automatically receive their first entry into the drawing.

Players can earn an additional nine entries, one per every 20 iRewards Points (iRPs) earned during the promotional period.

Borgata Casino loyalty points are earned at the following clips:

  • Slots: 1 iRP per $10 wagered
  • Progressive slots: 1 iRP per $20 wagered
  • Roulette and baccarat: 1 iRP per $25 wagered
  • Video poker, blackjack and craps: 1 iRP per $75 wagered

In other words, players will have to wager either $200 at slots, or $1,500 at high return games to earn another entry. Given the grand prize up for grabs, that’s not asking too much of NJ online slots players — although table game players may be a bit turned off.

Speaking of the grand prize, first place will win the following:

  • Two courtside tickets to the NCAA Championship game in Phoenix.
  • Paid round-trip airfare, and hotel accommodations for two nights.
  • $500 spending cash, added to the winner’s Borgata Casino account.

In total, this prize package is worth a cool $4,500. Players that can’t make the dance for whatever reason can redeem the package for a $2,500 cash option.

In addition to the grand prize, Borgata will be awarding 49 runners-up with $20 in bonus cash, for use on the site. The bonus carries a low 1x wagering requirement, and all casino play contributes to fulfilling this requirement.

Is this promotion a slam dunk or a brick?

In general, the primary drawback to sweepstakes promotions is that the majority of participants don’t win anything. However, in a small market such as New Jersey, 50 prizes is a significant number.

That being said, only one winner will walk away with what we consider to be a substantial prize. It would have been nice to see Borgata scale the prize distribution so that second place would win more than 50th.

Minor complaints aside, this is a promotion worth participating in, if only because players can earn their first entry simply by opting in — no wagering required.

Not to mention, earning additional entries is a fairly easy task. And the hard cap of 10 entries makes it so hardcore players still have an advantage, but not so much of one that recreational players and low rollers won’t stand a chance.

In short, if you’re a basketball fan, this is a can’t miss opportunity to see the Big Dance in person. And even if you don’t know the difference between a lay-up and a jump shot, it’s still not a bad offer.
